StageMaster

Guide

Make a launch video with Claude Code

You can ask Claude Code for a launch video the way you ask it for a feature. It writes the script and every click, and StageMaster films your app and voices it.

A launch film for Margin, a calm reading app. A coding agent wrote it, and StageMaster filmed and voiced it.

What you need

Six steps

  1. Let StageMaster record and click. The first time you open it, macOS asks for Screen Recording and Accessibility. StageMaster needs both: one to film your app, the other to move the mouse and type.
  2. Open your app. Put its window where you want it, and leave it there. StageMaster films that one window.
  3. Ask Claude Code for the video. Say what it is for, how long it should be, and what it should show.

Make a forty second launch video for our new export feature with StageMaster. Open on why exporting used to be slow, show the three clicks it takes now, and end on our website. Use a warm British voice.

  4. Keep your hands off the Mac. Claude Code voices the lines and rehearses the clicks. Then StageMaster counts down from three and records one take.
  5. Watch it, and ask for changes. A different sentence, a slower click, another voice. Claude Code changes that part and records again.
  6. Export it. You get an MP4. Upload it to YouTube from the app, or put it on your launch page.

Do you use Codex? It works the same way.
